The treatment and patient care at Stafford Hospital, part of Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust has been described as the “Worst he’d ever seen” by the Chairman of the investigation into the conditions and care at the hospital.
Stories of both the young and old dying due to the squalid conditions, staggering culture of bullying and fear, poor treatment and routine neglect of 100’s of people. It is alleged that at least 1200 people have either died or suffered and lost loved ones as a result of the unacceptable neglect.
Complaints were stifled and the trust has been accused of being pre-occupied with targets and cost cutting along with having a culture of bullying and fear for those people who worked there and raised concerns. Accident hospital emergencies were dealt with by too few staff in what has been described as disgusting and at times un-hygienic conditions. Let us hope that what has been described as “The worst scandal in the history of the NHS” never happens again.
Thankfully a new board is in place but that is of little comfort to those who have suffered at the hands of this NHS Trust Hospital.. Unfortunately negligent accidents in hospitals or other medical facilities are all too frequent. It is very likely that many people will claim accident compensation for the medical negligence they and loved ones have suffered.

Since the bad weather of January many roads up and down the country are littered with 1000′s of potholes that local councils are struggling to cover.
A pothole has been blamed for a scooter accident that happened in Margate on February 1st. The 17year old teenager came off her scooter in the accident when she hit the hole.
The student Jade Hansford said “I fell off my bike and into the road and my moped skidded behind me.”
She added: “It can’t blamed on the recent bad weather – these roads have been dreadful for years.”
The incident highlights the danger of pothole accidents on the road particularly when riding a moped as often the holes cannot be seen until you go over them which can potentially cause a scooter accident.

Every day, men and women up and down the country are injured through the fault of someone or something else. With the pressure of having to return to work, many people are either left financially worse off, or forced to go back to work before they have had sufficient time to recover. This is where compensation through Personal Injury Claims can help.
Personal Injury Claims help men and women to claim compensation for an injury caused by someone else. Claims can be made against a whole range of accidents, including injuries sustained from car accidents, wet and slippery floors, dangerous floor surfaces, faulty work equipment and much more. These claims can also be made against medical negligence where a sub-standard level of care has resulted in misdiagnoses, further injury or even death.
Hiring a professional personal injury lawyer is an important step to take due to the complicated nature of these claims. An experienced personal injury lawyer has the experience to deal with these claims more efficiently than those without. As there are some significant financial concerns to remember when taking time off work after suffering an injury, an experienced personal injury lawyer can help reduce these stresses by handling the claim efficiently, giving the victim plenty of time to recover at home.
Another benefit to consider when considering a Personal Injury Claim is the potential prevention of the same accident happening to someone else. For example, where someone is injured in a road incident caused by a sharp, unsafe bend in the road, mirrors or hedge cut backs can be ordered to prevent someone else being injured in the same way. Personal Accident Claims can benefit both the victim and potential future victims from the same fate.
Proof of the injury sustained is also important when putting forward a Personal Injury Claim. The lawyer will need specific injury details, such as the exact time and place, and it will also be important to have medical evidence (a doctor’s note, photographs etc) as proof of the injuries. Witnesses would also help support the injury claim. There is usually nothing to be lost in enquiring about Personal Injury Claims, with the compensation being a potentially significant sum.
Personal injury claim specialists will help make your claim a smooth one
